Mittel und Verfahren der EG-Wettbewerbspolitik

Abstract

Die Kommission der Europäischen Gemeinschaften sieht es, als ein vorrangiges Ziel ihrer Politik an, die Wirtschaftskraft der EG zu steigern und Impulse für eine Verbesserung ihrer internationalen Wettbewerbsfähigkeit zu geben. Dazu setzt sie insbesondere die gemeinschaftliche Wettbewerbspolitik ein? in der sie über umfassende Befugnisse verfügt. Grundlage der EG-Wettbewerbspolitik sind der Vertrag zur Gründung der Europäischen Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft (EWGV) und - soweit die Montanindustrie betroffen ist - der Vertrag über die Gründung der Europäischen Gemeinschaft für Kohle und Stahl (EGKSV). Auf der Basis dieser Verträge wurde das gemeinschaftliche Wettbewerbsrecht weiter ausgebaut, vor allem durch die sog. Kartel1Verordnung des Rates (VO Nr. 17), durch eine Anzahl weiterer Verordnungen und Richtlinien des Rates, durch Beschlüsse und Entscheidungen der Kommission und durch die Rechtsprechung des Gerichtshofs der Europäischen Gemeinschaften (EuGH).
