Abstract

Im Mittelpunkt der Wettbewerbs- und Industriepolitik der EU stand im vergangenen Jahr der Vorschlag der EU-Kommission zur Dezentralisierung der Wettbewerbsaufsicht. Dieser Vorschlag der Kommission trägt revolutionäre Züge, gibt die Kommission doch damit ihr Monopol als Wettbewerbshüter in der Europäischen Union auf. Dies gilt um so mehr, als sie über 40 Jahre bestrebt war, die supranationalen Kompetenzen in der Wettbewerbspolitik stetig auszuweiten. Darüber hinaus geriet im letzten Jahr zum wiederholten Male die Gruppenfreistellung vom Kartellverbot im Kraftfahrzeughandel in den Brennpunkt der wettbewerbspolitischen Diskussion.
