Gesamtwirtschaftliche Implikationen des Energieeffizienzgesetzes

Abstract

Das im Jahr 2023 erlassene "Gesetz zur Steigerung der Energieeffizienz in Deutschland" (EnEfG) setzt eine EU-Richtlinie in deutsches Recht um und bestimmt in § 4 Obergrenzen für den hierzulande künftig insgesamt zulässigen Energieeinsatz. Gemessen am Referenzjahr 2008 soll der Endenergieverbrauch bis zum Jahr 2030 um mindestens 26,5 Prozent sinken und dann einen Wert von 1867 TWh nicht überschreiten. Bis zum Jahr 2045 wird eine weitere Reduktion des Endenergieverbrauch um 18,5 Prozent auf dann 55 Prozent des Wertes aus dem Jahr 2008 vorgegeben, was einer Obergrenze von dann 1414 TWh entspricht. Damit fällt die erste Zielmarke in den Zeitraum der Mittelfristprojektion, für den im Folgenden verschiede-ne Szenarien mit Blick auf den gesamtwirtschaftlichen Energieeinsatz bzw. die Energieeffizienz betrachtet werden.
