Zum italienischen Export

Abstract

In der aktuellen Debatte spielen die unterschiedlichen Zuwachsraten der Lohnstückkosten zwischen Deutschland und den in den vergangenen Jahren eher exportschwachen Ländern (Lohnstückkostendifferentiale) eine große Bedeutung. Insbesondere die Exporte Italiens expandierten seit Bestehen der Währungsunion kaum. Um die Rolle des angesprochen Lohnstückkostendifferentials zu untersuchen, haben wir mehrere Regressionen vorgenommen. Zum einen werden die italienischen Exporte auf das Lohnstückkostendifferential zwischen Italien und Deutschland (dls) regressiert und in einer zweiten Analyse nur die Exporte nach Deutschland (expitdt). Trotz der Trends in den Daten konnten keine Kointegrationsbeziehungen gefunden werden. Daher wird die Analyse für die Zuwachsraten erstellt. Als Kontrollvariablen werden in der ersten Regression der preisbereinigte Welthandel und in der zweiten Regression das deutsche Bruttoinlandsprodukt herangezogen.
