Die Bedeutung von kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen in den energieintensiven Industrien

Abstract

Das IfM Bonn hat die Energiekostenentwicklung in der Industrie für die Jahre 2008 bis 2010 sowie die Bedeutung der kleinen und mittleren energieintensiven Industrieunternehmen im Jahr 2010 untersucht. Es legt damit erstmals unternehmensgrößenspezifische Daten über die energieintensiven Industrien vor: In den energieintensiven Industrien ist der Anteil der Energie- und Strombeschaffungskosten am Bruttoproduktionswert (Energieintensität) der kleinen und mittleren Unternehmen (KMU) deutlich geringer (4,4%) als der der Großunternehmen (6,4%). Die wirtschaftliche Bedeutung der KMU ist in den energieintensiven Industrien aber größer als in der Gesamtindustrie. Sie vereinen wesentlich höhere Anteile an Umsatz (33,0%), Bruttowertschöpfung (37,6%) und an den Beschäftigten (48,4%) auf sich als in der Industrie insgesamt.
