Motivlagen beruflicher Entscheidungen von Erzieher: Innen:Ergebnisse einer Verbleibstudie Erziehungsberufe im Land Bremen

Abstract

Im Land Bremen verbleiben nur 36 Prozent der in der Kindertagesbetreuung beschäftigten Erzieher:innen zehn Jahre nach Berufseinstieg noch im Berufsfeld. Elternzeit, Tätigkeits- und Berufswechsel, ein Wechsel in andere Bundesländer oder der vollständige Rückzug aus dem Erwerbsleben betreffen dagegen einen Großteil der Beschäftigten im Bereich der Elementarbildung. Die hier vorgelegte Verbleibstudie untersucht Ursachen für den Verbleib bzw. Ausstieg von Erzieher:innen im Land Bremen. Ziel ist es, individuelle und strukturelle Gründe beruflicher Entscheidungen systematisch zu erfassen und daraus Handlungsempfehlungen für Politik und Praxis abzuleiten. Zwischen September und Dezember 2023 wurde eine Onlineumfrage mit 1.149 angehenden, aktiven und ehemaligen Erzieher:innen durchgeführt. Die soziodemografische Struktur der Befragten kann als typisch für die Berufsgruppe in Bremen gelten. Ergänzend wurden im Jahr 2024 qualitative Interviews (n = 47) mit Trägern, Fachschulen, Absolvent:innen und Aussteiger:innen geführt. (...)
