Abstract

* Zahlreiche Städte und Gemeinden befassen sich mit Smart City Strategien und Projekten. * Die Kommunen agieren in unterschiedlichen Settings und adressieren verschiedenste Herausforderungen mit digitalen Ansätzen. * Die Smart City Charta postuliert ein europäisches, inklusives und nachhaltiges Verständnis der Smart City. * Das Projekt "DigiStadt - die digitale Stadt gestalten" orientierte sich an der Charta und erarbeitete Hilfestellungen für die kommunale Umsetzungspraxis. * Die Handreichung hilft in 10 Arbeitsschritten bei der Entwicklung von Smart City Strategien. * Die Erprobung in den vier Praxiskommunen zeigt: - Schnell anwendbare Smart-City-Lösungen und erste Erfolge motivieren bei der Entwicklung größerer Strategien - Smart-City-Macher:innen benötigen neben technologischem Verständnis kommunikative Fähigkeiten und fundiertes Wissen über kommunale Strukturen und Abläufe - Auch auf Erprobtes setzen: Es müssen nicht immer die innovativsten Lösungen sein, um eine Stadt smart zu machen.
