Mit Künstlicher Intelligenz forschen? Anwendungsmöglichkeiten und Herausforderungen in der arbeitssoziologischen Forschungspraxis

Abstract

Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) ist nicht nur ein relevantes Forschungsfeld im Kontext der Erforschung von Arbeit, sondern KI-gestützte Verfahren werden zunehmend selbst zu Instrumenten im Forschungsprozess. Zwei Anwendungsfelder werden im Folgenden in den Blick genommen: die KI-gestützte Transkription von Interviewaufnahmen sowie KI-gestützte Verfahren zur Analyse von Interviewtranskripten bzw. Dokumenten. In der arbeitssoziologischen Forschung fehlt bislang eine systematische Auseinandersetzung mit den Potenzialen, aber auch den Grenzen dieser Entwicklungen. Eine solche Auseinandersetzung ist insbesondere geboten, weil KI-gestützte Kategorisierungen und Interpretationsangebote grundlegende Fragen nach Reflexivität, Kontextsensibilität und interpretativer Kontrolle aufwerfen und zudem datenschutzrechtliche Aspekte berühren.
