Ältere Arbeitslose im Fokus der aktiven Arbeitsförderung? Neue Entwicklungen für Ältere in der Arbeitsmarktpolitik

Abstract

In den letzten Jahren haben sich die Voraussetzungen verbessert, ältere Arbeitslose verstärkt in den Fokus der Arbeitsförderung zu rücken - zuletzt mit der Bürgergeldreform. Es setzt sich der Trend fort, dass sich die arbeitsmarktpolitische Förderung öfter bis in höhere Altersjahre erstreckt. Die Aktivierungsquoten älterer Arbeitsloser bleiben nach wie vor deutlich hinter denen jüngerer Personen zurück. Um Herausforderungen wie den Fachkräftemangel und einem hohen Exklusionsrisiko von Älteren zu bewältigen, sind Instrumente erforderlich, die auf die speziellen Möglichkeiten und Bedarfe von älteren Arbeitslosen abgestimmt sind.
