    Bei diesem Beitrag handelt es sich um die Schriftfassung der Fünften Wilhelm-Röpke-Vorlesung, die die Leiterin des Hauptstadtbüros des Instituts der deutschen Wirtschaft Köln, Dr. Karen Horn, am 10. Februar 2011 in der Thüringer Aufbaubank in Erfurt gehalten hat. Die jährlich am 12. Februar, dem Todestag des großen Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlers, stattfindende Veranstaltung des Wilhelm-Röpke-Instituts e.V. soll dazu beitragen, Röpkes Wirken als Wissenschaftler, Politikberater und Publizist in Erinnerung zu rufen und seine Ideen auf aktuelle Probleme anzuwenden.
