Abstract

Bei diesem Beitrag handelt es sich um die Schriftfassung der Dritten Wilhelm-Röpke-Vorlesung, die der stellvertretende Chefredaktor und Leiter der Wirtschaftsredaktion der Neuen Zürcher Zeitung, Dr. Gerhard Schwarz, am 12. Februar 2009 in der Thüringer Aufbaubank in Erfurt gehalten hat. Die jährlich am 12. Februar, dem Todestag des großen Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaftlers, stattfindende Veranstaltung des Wilhelm-Röpke-Instituts e.V. soll dazu beitragen, Röpkes Wirken als Wissenschaftler, Politikberater und Publizist in Erinnerung zu rufen und seine Ideen auf aktuelle Probleme anzuwenden.
