Auswirkungen von Strompreiserhöhungen auf Preise, Wachstum und Wettbewerbsfähigkeit

Abstract

Die seit Jahren kräftig steigenden Energie- und Strompreise in Deutschland haben zu einer intensiven Debatte über die Energiepolitik geführt. In bisherigen Analysen standen dabei entweder die Konsequenzen von Preissteigerungen der Primärenergieträger Öl und Gas oder die Ursachen der Preissteigerungen im Strombereich im Vordergrund. Diese Studie geht einen Schritt weiter und analysiert die gesamtwirtschaftlichen Auswirkungen von Strompreissteigerungen. Diese haben zwar im Vergleich zu den Primärenergiepreissteigerungen insgesamt eine geringere Bedeutung, aber ihre Konsequenzen sind dennoch interessant, da Strompreise - anders als Energierohstoffpreise - wesentlich durch die nationale Politik beeinflusst werden. So entscheiden neben Steuern und Abgaben insbesondere die Wettbewerbssituation auf dem Strommarkt und die Regulierung der Netze über die Höhe der Strompreise.
