Hamburger Wirtschaft im Sinkflug

Abstract

Die weltweite Krise hat auch die Hamburger Wirtschaft erfasst. Zwar ist das reale Bruttoinlandsprodukt im Durchschnitt des vergangenen Jahres in Hamburg mit 2,1 % sogar stärker als im Bundesdurchschnitt gestiegen. Seit Mitte des Jahres hat aber auch in der Hansestadt die Konjunktur erheblich an Fahrt verloren. Schon im letzten Quartal 2008 kam es zu einem regelrechten Einbruch, der sich im ersten Quartal 2009 noch verstärkt hat. Die Hamburger Wirtschaft bekam insbesondere die Rezession der Weltwirtschaft und die Talfahrt des Welthandels zu spüren. Vor allem das Verarbeitende Gewerbe und der Verkehrssektor hatten darunter zu leiden. Auch auf dem Arbeitsmarkt beginnt die konjunkturelle Talfahrt allmählich Spuren zu hinterlassen.
