Das Thema Mitbestimmung in BWL- und Management-Studiengängen: Ein blinder Fleck?

Abstract

Ergebnis 1: Verankerung des Themas Mitbestimmung. Das Thema Mitbestimmung ist nicht grundsätzlich Teil des Lehrplans. Die untersuchten Studiengänge greifen es selten und selektiv auf. - Ergebnis 2: Verortung des Themas Mitbestimmung. Mit dem Thema Mitbestimmung setzen sich am ehesten die Lehrbereiche Arbeitsrecht, Personalmanagement/Human Resource Management und Unternehmensverfassung/Corporate Governance auseinander. Veranstaltungen im Pflichtbereich thematisieren die Mitbestimmung selten. Hauptsächlich greifen Wahlpflichtveranstaltungen und konsekutive Masterstudiengänge des Personalmanagements das Thema auf. - Ergebnis 3: Reflexionskontexte. Das Thema Mitbestimmung erweist sich in BWL- und Management-Studiengängen überwiegend als „blinder Fleck“. Eine individualistische, unilaterale Sichtweise dominiert Lehrgebiete, die mitbestimmungsrelevante Themengebiete behandeln, z. B. Personalwesen, Changemanagement, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) und Wirtschaftsethik. Wenn „Mitbestimmung“ gelehrt wird, dann überwiegend als Rahmenbedingung und aus juristischer Perspektive.
