Metaanalyse: Einführung und kritische Diskussion

  • Eisend, Martin

@Meta-analysis is a means of combining numerical results of multiple studies on a particular research question and also a means of explaining the variability of these results. Meta-analysis assists scientists with the information integration and evaluation and assists practitioners with their decision making. The following article gives a short introduction into the method of meta-analysis, adresses the problems meta-analysis and points out how these problems can be resolved according to the state-of-the-art of meta-analytic techniques. Finally, the peculiar contribution of meta-analysis to the knowledge development of science is discussed.
