Entwicklung der Betreuungsrelationen an den Hochschulen in Deutschland 2003 bis 2012

Abstract

Während sich das Betreuungsverhältnis an Fachhochschulen und Universitäten in den letzten Jahren trotz steigender Studierendenzahlen insgesamt kaum verändert hat, ist die Situation in den MINT-Fächern deutlich schlechter geworden. Für die Begleitung der Studierenden bis zum erfolgreichen Studienabschluss standen 2012 weniger Professoren und wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiter/innen zur Verfügung als noch im Jahr 2003. Die Betreuungsrelation in den Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften hat sich in diesem Jahrzehn hingegen zum Besseren entwickelt. In dieser Studie untersucht das Berliner Forschungsinstitut für Bildungs- und Sozialökonomie (FiBS) die Entwicklung der Betreuungsrelationen an den Universitäten und Fachhochschulen sowie in den einzelnen Fächergruppen von 2003 bis 2012.
