Künstliche Intelligenz an Hochschulen: Empirische Perspektiven zu generativer KI bei Abschlussarbeiten und in der Lehre

Abstract

Vorwort: Masterstudierende im Bereich Digital Business Management an der Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences führten ein einjähriges empirisches Forschungsprojekt durch, um die Auswirkungen generativer Künstlicher Intelligenz (GenKI) auf das Hochschulwesen und Studium zu untersuchen. Grundlage waren Befragungen unter Studierenden und Dozierenden sowie eine Analyse von Abschlussnoten. Das Projekt untersucht die Wahrnehmung und Nutzung von GenKI durch Studierende und Lehrende, ihre Einbindung in Lehr- und Prüfungsprozesse sowie die Auswirkungen auf akademische Leistungen. Ziel ist es, Chancen und Herausforderungen des KI-Einsatzes im Hochschulbereich aufzuzeigen und Impulse für die zukünftige Integration in die akademische Praxis zu geben. Obwohl die Studien nicht repräsentativ sind, geben sie doch erste Hinweise darauf, wie generative KI insbesondere in die Lehre eingebunden werden kann. Ein zentrales Ergebnis ist das sogenannte KI-Paradoxon: Je intensiver Studierende GenKI nutzen, desto stärker wächst ihr Vertrauen in die Technologie - selbst bei dem Bewusstsein, dass KI fehlerhafte oder irreführende Inhalte erzeugen kann. Mit zunehmender Erfahrung steigt der Einsatz in akademischen Arbeiten, insbesondere in Abschlussarbeiten, während gleichzeitig die Bereitschaft sinkt, die generierten Inhalte kritisch zu prüfen.
