Wesentliche Fakten zur „Investitionsschwäche“ in Deutschland

Abstract

Bundeswirtschaftsminister Sigmar Gabriel hat Ende August 2014 eine aus Wissenschaftlern, Unternehmens-, Gewerkschafts- und Verbandsvertretern bestehende Expertenkommission zum Thema „Stärkung der Investitionen in Deutschland“ eingesetzt. Hintergrund für diese Initiative ist die relativ schwache Investitionsentwicklung in Deutschland seit Anfang der letzten Dekade. Die nachfolgende Analyse zeigt, in welchem Sinne und in welchen Bereichen die Investitionsentwicklung in Deutschland als „schwach“ eingestuft werden kann. Dabei werden die unterschiedlichen Trends auf verschiedenen staatlichen Ebenen und in einzelnen Wirtschaftsbereichen näher herausgearbeitet. Darüber hinaus wird die Reagibilität der Investitionstätigkeit auf den Konjunkturverlauf sowie Bestimmungsgründe für das Investitionsverhalten von Unternehmen unter Verwendung von ökonometrischen Verfahren untersucht.
