Innovationsverhalten der Unternehmen in Deutschland 2009: Aktuelle Entwicklungen, Bundesländerunterschiede, internationaler Vergleich

Abstract

Diese Studie berichtet über die Innovationsaktivitäten der deutschen Wirtschaft im Jahr 2009 sowie über die von den Unternehmen geplanten Innovationsaktivitäten und -ausgaben in den Jahren 2010 und 2011. Dabei wird auch auf die Reaktion der Unternehmen auf die Wirtschaftskrise eingegangen. Auf Basis der jüngst veröffentlichten Ergebnisse der europaweiten Innovationserhebung für das Bezugsjahr 2008 wird das Innovationsverhalten der deutschen Wirtschaft im internationalen Vergleich eingeordnet. In einem Schwerpunktteil werden außerdem die Innovationsaktivitäten der Unternehmen in den 16 deutschen Bundesländern analysiert. Die Analysen beschränken sich auf die verarbeitende Industrie (Bergbau und verarbeitendes Gewerbe, wobei die forschungsintensiven Zweige - die sogenannte "Hochtechnologie" - separat betrachtet werden) und die wissensintensiven Dienstleistungen (Finanzdienstleistungen, EDV und Telekommunikation, technische Dienstleistungen, Unternehmensberatung und Werbung). Diese Branchen sind zum einen von besonderer Bedeutung für die technologische Leistungsfähigkeit Deutschlands, zum anderen spielen Innovationen eine herausragende Bedeutung für die Wettbewerbsfähigkeit der Unternehmen in diesen Branchen.
