Bildung und Qualifikation als Grundlage der technologischen Leistungsfähigkeit Deutschlands 2024

Abstract

Die Studie schreibt die Indikatoren zur Qualifikationsstruktur der Erwerbstätigen, zur hochschulischen Bildung sowie zur individuellen und betrieblichen Weiterbildung fort. Bei der Qualifikationsstruktur zeichnet sich Deutschland im internationalen Vergleich weiterhin durch einen eher niedrigen Anteil an Personen mit tertiärer Qualifikation an der Bevölkerung und den Erwerbstätigen aus (ISCED 5 bis 8), während mittlere Qualifikationen überdurchschnittlich häufig sind, vor allem die postsekundaren nichttertiären Abschlüsse (ISCED 4), die nahezu ein Alleinstellungsmerkmal Deutschlands sind. Die Studienanfängerzahl stabilisierte sich 2022, wobei sich gegenläufige Tendenzen in der inländischen und internationalen Studiennachfrage zeigen. Die Zahl der Hochschulabschlüsse sank 2022; es gab weniger Erstabschlüsse, aber eine nochmals leicht steigende Zahl an Folgeabschlüssen. Der MINT-Anteil wächst wieder leicht; international nimmt Deutschland beim MINT-Anteil weiterhin eine Spitzenposition ein. Bei der individuellen Weiterbildung erreicht die Beteiligungsquote 2022 wieder das vorpandemische Niveau, während die betriebliche Weiterbildung 2021 weiterhin von der Covid-19-Pandemie beeinflusst wird.
