Politische Polarisierung in der Schule? Entwicklungstendenzen unter Jugendlichen im Bundesländervergleich

Abstract

Politische Einstellungen entstehen bereits in jungen Jahren: Jugendliche entwickeln parteipolitische Präferenzen sowie Haltungen zu Demokratie und Migration. Zwischen der 7. und 9. Klasse zeigt sich ein steigendes politisches Interesse und eine insgesamt hohe Unterstützung demokratischer Werte, wie Umfragedaten in diesem Policy Paper belegen. Zugleich werden deutliche Unterschiede nach Bundesland, Schultyp und Bildungshintergrund sichtbar. Besonders auffällig ist die stärkere Identifikation mit der AfD in nicht-gymnasialen Schulformen und in bildungsferneren Kontexten. Die Ergebnisse unterstreichen einen besonderen Handlungsbedarf für politische Bildung und den Abbau struktureller Ungleichheiten.
