La demanda de agua urbana para actividades productivas. Un an�lisis con microdatos

Abstract

El objetivo de esta investigaci�n es estimar la demanda de agua urbana para usos productivos (industria, construcci�n y servicios), con el fin de dar apoyo al dise�o de instrumento de gesti�n que permitan mitigar la escasez del recurso agua. Para ello disponemos de microdatos de 8.615 empresas del municipio de Zaragoza (Espa�a) para el periodo 1993-2012. Los resultados indican que el precio del agua es un instrumento eficaz de gesti�n de la demanda (elasticidad de -0,86). Sin embargo, en las ramas de actividad con menor participaci�n del agua en los costes la influencia del precio no es significativa, haciendo necesaria la utilizaci�n de otros instrumentos.
