İSO 500 Listelerine Giren Özel Sektör Firmalarında Karlılık ve Büyüme Analizi

Abstract

Bu çalışmada, İstanbul Sanayi Odası (İSO) tarafından her yıl yayınlanan “Türkiye’nin 1.ci ve 2.ci 500 Büyük Sanayi Kuruluşu” (kısaca, 1.İSO500 ve 2.İSO500) listesine giren özel sektör kuruluşlarında karlılık ve büyüme konusunu ele alıp bazı genel eğilimler ortaya çıkarmaya çalışacağız. Ele alacağımız yıllar 1.İSO500 için 1993-2008, 2.İSO500 için ise 1997-2007 dönemlerini kapsayacaktır. İSO her yıl verilerle birlikte İstanbul Sanayi Odası Dergisi’nde kendi akademik danışmanlarının liste ile ilgili ayrıntılı yorumlarını da yayınlamaktadır. Ancak, bu yorumlar daha çok toplu sonuçların , yani o yılın listesine giren özel ve kamu kesimi firmalarının birleştirilmiş verilerinden türetilen oranların yorumlanması şeklinde olmakta, firma dağılımlarına pek bakılmamaktadır. İşte, biz bu çalışmada bunu yapmaya, firma dağılımlarından hareketle çeşitli eğilimler saptamaya çalışacağız.
