祸兮福兮：中国存在“资源诅咒”吗？

Abstract

由于现有文献在资源丰裕程度度量和计量模型的选择上存在不同程度的错误，本文利用95个地级市或地级以上城市的横截面数据，对“资源诅咒”假说在中国是否成立这一问题进行了再研究。我们的检验结果表明，自然资源的丰裕程度与经济增长之间并无显著的负相关关系，“资源诅咒”假说在中国城市层面上不成立。通过设置反映资源丰裕程度的省级虚拟变量，在控制了各种影响经济增长的长期因素以后，我们仍然发现资源丰裕城市对省内其它城市存在正向的“溢出”效应。通过进一步的传导途径的分析，我们发现资源丰裕城市可以显著促进省内其它城市的工业化进程。
