COVID-19-Pandemie: Beschäftigungssituation für Frauen schwieriger

Abstract

Mit dem schrittweisen Wiederhochfahren der vom Lockdown betroffenen Wirtschaftsbereiche fallen die Arbeitsplatzeinbußen im Juni 2020 merklich niedriger aus als in den Vormonaten. Allerdings entwickelt sich die unselbständige Beschäftigung der Frauen in einigen Branchen wesentlich ungünstiger als die der Männer: Im März waren Männer stärker vom Beschäftigungsrückgang betroffen als Frauen, im April und im Mai war die Entwicklung ausgewogen, im Juni verloren relativ mehr Frauen als Männer ihren Arbeitsplatz. Auch auf Bundesländerebene veränderte sich das Geschlechterverhältnis zum Nachteil der Frauen: Seit April fällt der relative Beschäftigungsrückgang der Männer nur noch in Oberösterreich, Vorarlberg und Wien höher aus, in allen anderen Bundesländern der der Frauen.
