Abstract

De centrale vraagstelling van dit rapport betreft (i) de omvang van het nationale vermogen van Nederland en (ii) de verschillende vormen van intergenerationele overdrachten van dit nationale vermogen. Daartoe worden eerst in een balansopstelling van de nationale boekhouding de vermogensposities en onderlinge schuldverhoudingen van een aantal sectoren bezien en worden vervolgens de verschillende vormen van intergenerationele overdrachten in een taxonomie ontrafeld. Dit conceptuele overzicht is in die zin volledig, dat alle relevante overdrachten hierin kunnen worden ondergebracht. Daarbij gaat het in dit rapport om een in hoofdzaak kwalitatieve benadering aangezien een volledig kwantitatieve invulling van de rijkdom en overdrachten tussen generaties in Nederland niet mogelijk blijkt.
