Abstract

Solvency II, la nouvelle réglementation du secteur des assurances, est en préparation au sein de la Commission Européenne. La version définitive du texte est prévue fin 2008 pour une mise en application au sein des entreprises début janvier 2010. Solvency II se base sur 3 piliers, à l’instar de la réglementation du secteur bancaire Bâle II. L’objectif de cet article est double. D’abord, présenter la législation actuelle et à partir des critiques qui lui sont adressées, définir les principaux défis de Sovency II. Ensuite, expliquer de manière schématique les principaux aspects de la nouvelle réglementation et son agenda. Cet article s’articule autour des débats les plus actuels concernant Solvency II.
