Ensaio Teórico sobre Clusters e Estruturas de Redes Colaborativas como Estratégias para a Redução de Custos de Transação: Estudo de Caso do Município de Rio Verde (GO)

The municipality of Rio Verde is considered the capital of Goiás’ agribusiness, especially in the areas of agriculture, livestock, industry and commerce. The objective of this study was to carry out a mesoanalysis to investigate the existence of clusters and collaborative network structures in the municipality of Rio Verde (GO). Allied to this objective, it also verified whether these economic structures could be considered strategies to reduce transaction costs. This paper was empirical research with a qualitative approach to the case study of the city of Rio Verde (GO), where secondary data were collected from a bibliographic documentary source. According to the systematic review of the literature and the mesoanalysis, two agricultural clusters were identified: a cluster of grains and a cluster of poultry and pork. Regarding the structures of collaborative networks, evidence of formation was also found in both commercial relationships at the level of supply of production factors, as well as in the form of collective actions such as the case of the Comigo cooperative. Clusters and collaborative networks can be a strategy to minimize transaction costs and provide competitive advantages.
