Abstract

This article aims to give a brief description of the household’s income distribution in Goiás and the role that the local labor market has on this income, using PNAD data for the period 2002/2009. Overall, it found a per capita income better distributed compared to income of the country. However, we observe a lower level of per capita income, resulting, among other reasons, of the occupational distribution of the labor market and the lower wages in the state.
