Un año de medición del Indice de Demanda Laboral: situación actual y perspectivas

Abstract

El índice de demanda laboral es elaborado por la Universidad Torcuato Di Tella desde agosto de 2002. La motivación para la elaboración del índice fue la falta de un indicador mensual que reflejara la situación del mercado de trabajo en la Argentina, información de vital importancia dada la situación en la que se encuentra el mismo y la intima relación de este con la actividad económica. El objetivo de este trabajo es explicar la metodología de construcción del índice, analizar su evolución hasta el momento y establecer la relación del mismo con otras variables macroeconómicas de forma tal de describir el comportamiento de la demanda de trabajo en Argentina en el último año e inferir su posible desarrollo futuro
