Estudio Sobre la Competencia Interna y el Desempeño Internacional. Un Analisis desde el Fútbol Sudamericano

Abstract

El trabajo estudia la relacíon entre la intensidad de la competencia interna y el desempe ̃no a nivel internacional. Para ello se utiliza el contexto de la Copa Libertadores de f ́utbol, como una aproximaci ́on estilizada al desempe ̃no internacional de equipos nacionales. Utilizando datos de los pa ́ıses que participaron de la Copa Libertadores entre los a ̃nos 2000 y 2019 se encuentra una relaci ́on positiva entre el nivel de competencia interno de las ligas de fútbol y los resultados que se obtienen a nivel internacional. Una estructura interna m ́as competitiva permitir ́a un mejor desempe ̃no de los equipos a nivel internacional.
