El futuro de UE a debate: Una lectura desde el presupuesto comunitario

Abstract

Desde su incorporación a las Comunidades Europeas el 1 de enero de 1986 España ha experimentado cambios muy importantes en su estructura social y productiva. Las políticas de la UE han tenido gran influencia en esos procesos. Cabe citar, entre ellas, la modernización de las infraestructuras de transportes, lo que también ha contribuido a mejorar la competitividad global de la economía. Además, la adaptación de España a la UE ha exigido la transformación, a menudo traumática, de los sectores agrícola y pesquero, lo que ha llevado, en algunos casos, a sacrificar vacas, arrancar cepas y desguazar barcos, contribuyendo de este modo a la necesaria reducción del tamaño del sector primario.
