La “trampa” afgana

Abstract

Históricamente Afganistán ha sido el cementerio de diversas aventuras militares imperiales (basta con recordar las experiencias del Imperio Británico y de la Unión Soviética). En octubre de este año, la operación “Libertad Duradera” (OEF), emprendida por Estados Unidos tras los ataques terroristas de Nueva York y Washington, cumplió siete años. El próximo 27 de diciembre marcará otro aniversario: los 29 años de la entrada al territorio afgano de otra superpotencia, la Unión Soviética. Desde entonces, la conjugación de las dinámicas internas y externas no ha permitido que Afganistán viva en paz.
