América Latina y Asia oriental: el éxito económico en una economía transnacional

Abstract

En este trabajo trataremos de analizar el nivel de desarrollo alcanzado por estos países dentro del sistema económico internacional, no tanto como un fenómeno impuesto exógenamente por los grandes actores del sistema mundial, pero sí donde las condiciones del éxito económico interno se construyen a partir del carácter peculiar que el proceso de transnacionalización asume en cada país. En este sentido, creemos encontrar importantes dosis de endogenismo en los postulados analíticos de los autores de la economía política radical, que colocan a los factores internos de tipo estructural, histórico, institucional y cultural como determinantes en el éxito económico de dichas sociedades, mientras que los factores externos sólo tendrían un peso coyuntural.
