La experiencia internacional en el control presupuestario: estructura, instituciones y problemas recientes

Abstract

En los últimos años, especialmente en la década de los años ochenta, diversos países han realizado importantes esfuerzos para mejorar la gestión del presupuesto. Entre aquellos países que han tomado iniciativas para mejorar la gestión presupuestaria cabe destacar Canadá, Estados Unidos, Nueva Zelanda y el Reino Unido. Aunque algunos otros como Suecia también han realizado reformas importantes. No obstante, los países aquí estudiados se consideran especialmente relevantes y constituyen, pensamos, una muestra representativa de los cambios que se están produciendo en la gestión pública.
