La política tecnológica en España: una evaluación en la perspectiva del sistema productivo

Abstract

En el curso de los años ochenta, la economía española registró un notable incremento en la asignación de recursos a las actividades de generación interna de tecnología dentro de las empresas, de la que resulta expresiva la trayectoria seguida por los gastos efectuados en la ejecución por ellas de tareas de I+D. Esos gastos, que se habían multiplicado por 3,2 en términos reales en la década anterior, volvieron a hacerlo por 3,5 entre 1980 y 1992, correspondiendo el mayor crecimiento a la segunda mitad de este período. Se posibilitó así un cierto acercamiento a los niveles relativos medios de la Comunidad Europea en cuanto a la utilización de recursos en esas actividades, aunque la distancia respecto a ellos es aún muy importante.
