Abstract

En este trabajo se va a ofrecer una panorámica de la estructura de una parte del mercado de capitales español. Los Fondos de Inversión Mobiliaria (FIM) son unos intermediarios financieros y como tales forman parte del sistema financiero que, aunque básicamente se refiere a los intermediarios monetario-crediticios, esto es Bancos y Cajas de Ahorro, asimismo incluye otras modalidades de intermediación, dentro de las que se sitúan las que realizan los FIM. Ademas, por la naturaleza de su función intermediadora, los FIM constituyen una parte, a veces cuantitativamente muy importante, de los mercados de capitales en la medida que canalizan sus recursos hacia la inversión en activos que se transaccionan en los mercados financieros.
