Progresividad y capacidad redistributiva del impuesto sobre la renta en España 1979-1984

Abstract

En este trabajo se discute y evalúa cuatro índices simples de progresividad del IRPF entre 1979, año de su implantación, y 1984, último ejercicio fiscal para el que se dispone de información en el momento de redactar estas líneas. Dado que una de las principales metas de la imposición personal sobre la renta es contribuir al reparto equitativo de la carga fiscal, todo intento de obtener información a este respecto está justificado. Los índices aquí calculados ofrecerán esta información año a año y discutirán su evolución a lo largo del período considerado.
