El Espejo en el que Grecia no debe mirarse: Argentina en el 2001-2002

Abstract

El tercer acuerdo financiero o tercer rescate acordado por Grecia en el mes de agosto con la denominada “Troika” y sus acreedores implica, en la concepción de muchos analistas, la oportunidad de evitar temporalmente lo inevitable: el abandono de la eurozona y sus consecuencias, el tan cacareado Grexit de los últimos meses. En este documento tras explicar sintéticamente cómo Grecia ha llegado a esta situación, analizamos el camino recorrido por Argentina como antecedente directo para el futuro griego, planteando que un “default” consensuado podría acabar siendo una alternativa con menores costos intertemporales para la población de este país, a la par que evitaría la salida del euro.
