Las Finanzas Islámicas. Una realidad de finanzas éticas en expansión

Abstract

Las finanzas islámicas se han desarrollado realmente desde los años 70 en Oriente Medio y el Sudeste Asiático y, en la última década en occidente, pero todavía siguen siendo desconocidas a pesar de configurarse como una alternativa viable de finanzas éticas. Se pueden calificar como tal porque sus fundamentos se basan en la ley islámica, la cual considera el dinero no como una mercancía (enfoque de la banca convencional), sino como un medio a través del cual se puede desarrollar la actividad económica generando riqueza de una forma legítima y justa. Este trabajo intenta dar una visión general de las finanzas islámicas y de su potencial como una alternativa a las finanzas tradicionales.
