Fiskerinæringens teknologi og dens regionale forankring

Bakgrunnen for denne artikkelen er ideen om at en industris vekst og utvikling er avhengig av dens teknologiske fundament. De industrier som innehar teknologiske muligheter for produkt-og prosessinnovasjoner, betegner vi som dynamiske industrier. Det er disse underliggende innovasjonsmulighetene som åpner for firmaer og industrier til å utvikle høyverdiprodukter og øke produktiviteten gjennom fornyelse av deres produksjonsteknologier. Disse innovasjonsmulighetene har sin opprinnelse i et vidt spekter av aktiviteter som kunnskapsgenerering, læring, diffusjon av teknologi mellom firmaer osv. På denne bakgrunn forsøker artikkelen å konstruere et foreløpig kart av: kjerneteknologiene innen Norsk fiskeriindustri de mest essensielle vitenskapelige kunnskapsbasene knyttet til disse teknologiene den fysiske lokalisering av relevant kunnskapsinfrastruktur
