Chocs propres a l'entreprise et fluctuations agregees dans le secteur de la fabrication au Canada, 2000 a 2012

Abstract

Pour comprendre ce qui entraine les fluctuations agregees, de nombreux modeles macroeconomiques se tournent vers les chocs agregees sans tenir compte de la contribution des chocs propres a l'entreprise. De recentes recherches menees par d'autres pays developpes ont, toutefois, permis de constater que les fluctuations agregees sont en partie attribuables aux chocs encaisses par les grandes entreprises. A l'aide de donnees sur des entreprises canadiennes tirees de la base de donnees PALE-T2, qui etablit un lien entre les etats financiers des declarations de revenus des societes et les donnees sur l'emploi du Programme d'analyse longitudinale de l'emploi, cet article examine la contribution des grandes entreprises aux fluctuations sectorielles de la production brute, de l'investissement et de l'emploi dans le secteur de la fabrication.
