Abstract

Les décisions du 17 août dernier ont marqué une rupture dans l'histoire de la transition russe. D'une part, l'abandon de la politique de "corridor", qui encadrait l'évolution du change depuis plusieurs années, signait la fin de la relative stabilité des prix obtenue depuis trois ans. De l'autre, le défaut partiel sur la dette de l'Etat et le moratoire unilatéral sur les engagements extérieurs du secteur bancaire indiquaient que ces deux agents étaient devenus insolvables (...).
