Abstract

Les pays industrialisés connaissent un ralentissement apparent et persistant des gains de productivité du travail depuis le second choc pétrolier. Celui-ci a fait l’objet d’un grand nombre d’analyses dans la littérature économique[1] s’interrogeant sur la disparition possible du potentiel de croissance de ces économies développées et donc sur leur incapacité à renouer avec un niveau d’activité conforme à la trajectoire d’avant-crise. Autrement dit, les pays industrialisés seraient entrés dans une phase de « stagnation séculaire » rendant plus difficile la résorption de l’endettement public et privé. Mais cet épuisement des gains de productivité modifie également le diagnostic que l’on pose sur leur situation conjoncturelle et tout particulièrement sur celui de leur marché du travail.
