Abstract

Le Traité instituant la CEE (le plus emblématique des deux Traités de Rome) a donné vie et corps à l’idéal d’intégration européenne esquissé notamment par Victor Hugo. Soixante ans après sa signature, on propose ici une brève relecture commentée, forcément subjective, du Préambule de ce texte fondateur (les participes passés et présents qui ouvrent chaque alinéa du texte se réfèrent aux six chefs d’Etats et de gouvernement signataires du Traité le 25 mars 1957).
