Abstract

La comparaison des marchés du travail montre que le taux de chômage européen n'est pas le résultat d'un fonctionnement différent du marché du travail mais plutôt le résultat de chocs macro-économiques plus importants, notamment après 2011. Le premier facteur de la hausse du chômage européen est la politique fiscale restrictive menée de 2011 à 2014. Ces évolutions moyennes cachent cependant de fortes divergences au sein de la zone euro. Entre 2007 et 2017, le taux de chômage allemand a baissé de quatre points par rapport à la moyenne de la zone euro alors que le taux de chômage espagnol a augmenté de six points.
