Abstract

L’année 2001 a été particulièrement mauvaise pour l’Amérique latine : 0,3 % de croissance après 4,4 % l’année précédente. Cette contre performance a touché tous les pays de la région. La crise financière est restée circonscrite à l’Argentine mais l’attentisme des investisseurs jusqu’à l’automne dernier a freiné l’activité, exposée par ailleurs à la contraction des marchés d’exportation et à la baisse du prix des matières premières. La situation devrait s’améliorer en 2002 à l’exception de l’Argentine. [Premier paragraphe]
