Abstract

L'’accélération des flux de commerce mondial amorcée à l’automne 2003 a marqué une pause à l’été 2004 : la croissance des échanges de marchandises a culminé à un peu plus de 10 % en volume en glissement sur un an au deuxième comme au troisième trimestre 2004. Il s’agit d’un rythme nettement moins rapide que lors de la précédente phase d’accélération du cycle de commerce mondial de la mi-2000 (+ 14 %), rythme qui était cependant alors exceptionnellement élevé, porté par la vague des échanges de biens de nouvelles technologies. Le point haut de la mi-2004 est équivalent à celui de l’avant dernière reprise du commerce mondial en 1997. [Premier paragraphe]
