Abstract

Shakespeare, the most significant author of theatrical plays, a real innovator of English language, a model for his followers and for the European theatrical culture then and now, is also a master of symbols and metaphors and a promoter of the values of Christian morals and ethics; as this paper attempts to demonstrate.
