Abstract

This paper addresses the topic of coronavirus pandemic, an epidemic that has affected almost the entire world, and the consequences that society has faced since its beginning. To better understand what this condition means, we defined the notion of coronavirus and COVID-19, which are the symptoms and how it spreads. We have shown people's perception on the evolution of this disease since the early stages of its spread and also pointed out how the pandemic has created an emotional imbalance, affecting mental health and its effects on memory. Regarding the pandemic effects on nutrition, we showed what its role is during this period and what impact the isolation imposed by the authorities had on the elderly people, as well as on their eating behaviour.
